the wild west

We got some sweet pictures at the "Wild Horse Monument" lookout point. I'll have to frame a collage sometime.

Caleb and Mama

Ah, Chewelah!

the backs of heads

I got one picture with all of the Facenda children and our children. These five were in high gear that day, so it is amazing I got them all in one shot, backs or fronts. Why is it so much easier to get groups of kids from the back than the front? Even when you get them all facing you, kids somehow turn their heads in that last split second.

Museum of Flight

As you can see, we took the time to do a lot of sight-seeing while we were in Seattle. We are so thankful for all the extra time together as a family that we can enjoy while we are traveling around the country. This past weekend we were in Chewelah, WA, and the eastern side of the state. Tomorrow we drive to Meridian, ID, near Boise.
The little girl with Lucy is the daughter of the Facendas, a fellow deputation family on their way to Korea. We quite literally ran into them on a boat tour while we were both touring Seattle. Always nice to swap stories/rejoice/pray/cry with other people doing exactly what you're doing.

and more airplanes!

Church Picnic

We enjoyed being a part of a church picnic in Lynnwood, WA (north of Seattle). The fellowship was great, and the kids seemed to enjoy it as much as we did.

Seattle Aquarium

I like the last one because it looks like the diver is holding Lucy inside the tank.

music lesson

I took Caleb to the library in Sedro Woolley for story time, and got there to find out they had a guest teacher with all these African djembes. Caleb kept the rhythm for part of the time, but he was a little overwhelmed by all the noise. It brought back memories of my Fork Shoals Elementary School days.

growing up too fast

Lucy said "elephant" and "eye" yesterday. :o) Not walking on her own, but always reaching out for our hands to help her along. She practically runs and giggles like crazy when we help her walk.

Tinkerbell and the fireman

Sarah P and Trey took us to their children's museum, and it was a big hit. We even went back again with Daniel. They had tons of costumes and learning centers and stuff kids love. Caleb said he was going to rescue Tinkerbell from the burning building.
