a little get-away in Cincinnati

Daniel and I got to leave kids with Daniel's mom and dad and go on a trip to see the Creation Museum. I know, we are crazy for driving all the way to OH to get away. May be we have driving in our blood and just had to do it and after staying so close to home for two months. I don't know, but we had a marvelous time together without interruption. Thank you thank you to Mom and Dad for keeping the kids. They didn't even come back spoiled! If anything, they were more polite than when we left them. We tried not to talk about the kids the whole time, but they just kept coming back up. Although getting away and focusing on each other was great for our relationship, I can honestly say we missed them the whole time. Well, almost the whole time. I didn't miss them when we walked into the hotel in one trip with just a small suitcase and a cosmetic bag. And somehow we even found ourselves at a Babies r us. But I can explain, really, I can....

Us and Ken Ham.
He had helpful advice about showing Germans the way to Christ
when you are starting with square one: God is.

wrapping paper drawings

What to do with that last little bit of paper that's not enough to save until next year. (Warning: It's all fun and games until the paper tears...Hooray for washable markers!)

visiting our great-grandparents

We had a meeting in Macon, GA, so we took the opportunity to swing down to Valdosta to see Daniel's grandparents for a few days. They had a great time with their great-grandchildren. The kids learned how to harvest pecans, stack firewood, pick flowers, and ride the old tractor.
