and right on over to Maine

In four days we went from Portland, OR to Portland, ME via SC.  Yet another long trip up there - and yet another peaceful time in Kittery began our 6-week trip all over the place. This should be our last big trip, and this time I really mean it! We are at 96% of our support, and looking at tickets for right after Christmas. So this is it! Trying to finish strong - for Christ, for Daniel, and for Caleb, who is forming his view of God by the way I respond to the up's and down's of deputation life.

Do all things without  grumbling or disputing; so that you will  prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent,  children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as  lights in the world, holding fast the word of life.
Phil 2:14-16

Daniel and I enjoyed 5 days together in OR and WA. Grandmother kept the kids and I went out to meet Daniel for the last two churches he had scheduled out there. It was great to be able to be involved with the people in the churches more than I normally can with my responsibilities with the kids. And we had a wonderful time together taking a few days of vacation. By the time we came home, we felt more relaxed than I ever remember feeling since Caleb was born!

portraits

I was very happy with the way these turned out. We went to JCPenney portraits at Haywood Mall. Lucy kept sticking out her tongue, so we didn't get many good ones of her, but Caleb was especially cooperative. I guess it was either him growing up now or all the bribery for ice cream and playground, or maybe bribery just works better on a four year old than a two year old. Either way, I am thankful for the keepsakes they made.
